Interdependence Day and Midsummer Madness

July 3rd through 5th

Ozark Avalon

Come join the fun at Ozark Avalon as we celebrate our interdependence on the land and ourselves. See the Oak King battle the Holly King as the wheel of the year changes hands and watch as the Goddess embraces her new consort for the dark half of the year. Main ritual will be a site to see. Think fairies and fae at play, a dramatic event guaranteed to please.

Can you be the one to find the largest Watermelon? There will be a prize to the person that can bring us the largest (by size) watermelon. We eat the entries.

Bring your own fireworks to add to our display. The Oak King will be lining up the show and will be seeking volunteers from the crowd to help. The more fireworks we bring the bigger the display.

Everyone is talking about Going Green well this year we plan to show you how to go Green without Spending the Green. Help Robert from the Radical Fairies re-use recycled building materials to build a garden bed.  Join Amy as she shows you how to make fairy altars with things you find in the woods and recycled materials from your home. Build your own to take home with you. Listen to Susan Stoddard a renowned community leader talk about building our community using the interconectiveness we all have and rise with the sun and give blessings to the Fae with Taz.

It plans to be a rocking good time.

Register Early so we can get a head count on the great BBQ food's we are going to have. Remember Friday Night is a Pot-Luck, bring your favorite BBQ food and share it with the party. Saturday Afternoon we will measure the melons so they can be served up to the crowd on Saturday night.

The retreat begins Thursday, July 2nd.  Registration opens at noon. You are welcome to camp free Thursday night and enjoy the beauty of the land.   Opening circle is at 9 pm Friday and will incorporate the Battle of the Kings.  Bring your drums and entertain the Fae.  There will be musical guests including Beltana and Friends and The Magickal Blues Band.  Vendors are welcome and there is no extra change.
